Our story
Mullein Leaf began the way most good things do, with a plant we could not stop noticing. Rosa Wilder had been growing and working with Verbascum thapsus for years before it occurred to us that most of what is written about it online reads like it was assembled by someone who had never touched a leaf.
So we made the site we wished existed: clear, careful, first-hand writing about every part of the plant, from the teacup to the seed head. We grow it, dry it, brew it, and live with it through the seasons, and we write from that.
What we promise you
- Honest writing grounded in real experience and traditional use.
- Straight talk about evidence, what is well studied and what is folklore.
- Clear cautions, because "herbal" does not mean "risk-free."
When we recommend a product, it is one we would use ourselves. When we are not sure, we say so. That is the whole idea.
